Frequently asked questions
Questions about scope, pricing, rights and the steps between an inquiry and an agreed project.
Planning and quotes
Are the offer prices final?
Prices are estimates, not guaranteed quotes. Scope, production, locations, travel, licensing, outside costs and delivery requirements affect the written quote.
What do the four primary offers include?
Each focused package provides a starting purpose. The written scope identifies the deliverables, quantities, production requirements, revisions and exclusions. Related services are included only as defined in that scope.
Must I choose a package?
No. A package is a useful starting combination. Individual services or a custom mix can be scoped around the actual need.
Why can bundled work be more efficient?
Discovery, travel, setup, lighting, capture and media organization can be shared. Any package savings should reflect those production efficiencies.
How does a quote become an agreed project?
The sequence is scope clarification, written quote, acceptance of the required agreement and any specified deposit. A conversation, form acknowledgment or tentative date alone does not book work.
Is a deposit required, and how long is a quote valid?
Some projects may require a deposit or retainer. The written quote states the amount, payment schedule and any validity period before a reservation.
Can an agreed price change?
Changes to deliverables, locations, production time, versions, licensing or creative direction require a written scope/price review before extra work.
Production and delivery
When does turnaround begin?
After required source material, approvals, access and instructions are received. The written quote establishes the actual schedule.
What counts as a revision round?
One consolidated set of reasonable changes submitted together. Revisions refine the agreed work. New concepts, replacement footage, added deliverables and reshoots can change scope.
Can I ask for additional revisions or rush delivery?
They may be separately scoped when schedule, quality and safety permit. No rush deadline or extra work is automatically included.
Do you travel?
Travel, repeat visits, permits, parking, lodging and location access are identified in the written quote. No universal travel allowance is implied.
Who arranges locations and outside costs?
Clients normally arrange location access and permissions. Parking, permits, venue fees, rentals, talent and premium licensed assets are separately identified unless included in the quote. Outdoor work needs a weather plan.
Are raw footage and editable files included?
Not automatically. Raw footage, unedited photos, source files and editable projects must be specifically included or separately scoped when practical.
Can you use material I already have?
Editing and repurposing services can use usable client material with appropriate rights. Recording volume, organization, audio condition and transfer needs affect scope.
How are files delivered and retained?
The delivery method depends on size, confidentiality and agreed requirements. Permanent archival storage is not promised. Retention and any archival arrangement must be defined separately.
Can captions or other accessible deliverables be included?
Captions, transcripts, translated subtitles, audio description or accessible documents can be scoped where appropriate. Identify required standards and destination specifications before quoting.
Rights, privacy and fit
Does TVM use AI?
Selected research, organization, transcription and technical support may use controlled AI assistance. Creative direction stays human-led. TVM will not impersonate a person, voice or likeness without appropriate permission and disclosure; confidential material needs a suitable agreed workflow. AI-assisted facts and sources require human review and verification before final use.
Can I request no AI?
State a strict no-AI requirement before scoping. Practical restrictions and additional manual work may affect the quote. Project-specific workflow terms belong in the agreement.
Will my project appear in the portfolio?
Public use requires appropriate permission. Confidential, personal and restricted material is not automatic marketing content; creation permission is separate from portfolio permission.
Can a project stay confidential?
Discuss confidentiality, delayed publication and access restrictions before production so the workflow and agreement can reflect them.
Can I send sensitive records or upload files?
No public uploads are available. Do not send Social Security numbers, tax returns, passwords, bank/card details, medical records, unredacted IDs or highly sensitive material. Any later protected transfer needs separate review.
Who is responsible for supplied material and claims?
Clients need rights to supplied media and permission for participants and locations. Technical, legal, medical and safety claims require appropriate client or qualified-specialist approval. Third-party asset licenses limit usage.
Are marketing outcomes guaranteed?
No. Sales, leads, followers, rankings, hiring, donations and return on investment depend on factors beyond media production. TVM will not invent results or imply unsupported attribution.
Can I ask about an unlisted project?
Describe the goal in a non-sensitive inquiry. Fit depends on capability, safety, permissions, schedule and contracting needs. Public-sector and institutional requirements should be identified early.
